ABOUT ME
Since a young age, I have been incredibly passionate about cricket, spending most of my free time either playing or watching the game. Through the years I have developed a keen interest in carpentry, specifically pod shaving - the art of bat-making - as well as bat maintenance.
I initially started servicing bats as a hobby while I was a cricket coach, but this soon evolved into a part-time business.
I strive to provide the best quality cricket bat services in the Western Cape, combining both modern and traditional techniques to achieve the best results.
SERVICES OFFERED
Make your bat look brand new with a full refurbishment: strip down, clean up, general repairs, sanding, hand bone, light knocking in, oil, wax and polish. Includes a grip, face cover and toe guard.
Bat repairs range from repairing surface and edge cracks, to repairing damage to the toe and shoulders, and replacing pieces of the bat (this is called grafting).
Cleanups consist of removing stickers, a light treatment and polishing.
Handle replacements: old/broken handles are removed and replaced with a brand new, high quality cane handle. The handle is shaped to the customer's specifications, bound with high strength twine, and re-gripped.
Weight Reduction: weight can be removed from the back of the bat in order to make it lighter and/or to improve the pickup of your bat.
Reshaping: the shape of your bat can be changed to a certain extent in order to improve the looks, feel and performance (eg. moving the middle slightly, changing the shape of the toe, etc.) Bring your bat in for an assessment and quote.

* Bats can either be brought in or couriered to the workshop to be serviced
* Courier fees for customer's account
* An exact quote on repairs/refurbishments can only be given once the bat has been physically assessed
* Bats not collected within 90 days will be sold to recover costs
